Mortal Kombat is an American fantasy martial arts action film based on the popular Mortal Kombat series of fighting games produced by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and serves as a reboot to Mortal Kombat (1995 film) and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. The plot of the film follows the warrior monk Liu Kang, the actor Johnny Cage, and the soldier Sonya Blade, all three guided by the elder god of thunder Raiden, on their journey to combat the evil sorcerer Shang Tsung and his forces Goro & Shao Kahn in a tournament to save Earth.
