Today is a good day. I got a message from one of Audis spokespeople to go and check out the official Audi A5 configurator.

It actually brought tears to my eyes when I am seeing that it’s really happening. All the fight for over a year now, is giving results as you could read in the long long post I wrote in yesterdays reel on the S5, you know how much effort this took. We are moving in the right direction.
Audi, if you will keep listening to the customers, you will get back to the golden era of yours. Don’t touch or change the things nobody asked for, and work on the things that need a change.

In the last months, I’ve been extremely open and critical about Audis current badging situation. It started already around 18 months ago when I wrote a 14 page letter to the board members. I just came to a point when I had collected so many thought about what is going on in the four rings, I couldn’t stay silent anymore. I didn’t think it would lead anywhere, because people seemed really not facing the reality. But in the last months, I started to push more and more. And I noticed a difference. People started to listen. I also started to get in touch with higher and higher people at Audi, and showed them all the topics and posts I’ve made about this situation, and what a huge feedback these topics had. I told them to really sit down and go through all these comments one by one and that they were not made by some teens behind a screen, but by actual Audi owners that had been loyal to the brand for decades. And they were leaving. Audi HAD TO listen.
I also told you all to comment, and not be silent, cause only then we can properly raise awareness.

Now, we are in the process getting the badges back, or at least having a huge badging update. I can’t say any more for now, cause you will see it when it happens. It feels really good in my heart and soul, that I reached to the core of Audi, making them understand their absolutely terrible decision, that was just as bad, if not worse, than the fake exhaust situation.

So, I want to give kudos to all those people at Audi, that listened. And not only did they listen, they started to do something about it. The new CEO, and the new design boss also seem like proper and decent people that can really turn this situation around. For the first time in 5 years, I feel some kind of hope at Audi. We start with the badges, but we have a long way to go with the interior quality, overall design, steering wheel, naming problems and much much more. If we want to bring back the proper ”Vorsprung dutch Technik”, we have got to stick together. Audi was always leading, and not following the trends in the market.

Let’s keep raising awareness and hoping for a change.
