Ukrainian police say more than 900 civilian bodies have now been discovered as Russian troops withdraw from the region surrounding Kyiv. The majority of them were in the devastated city of Bucha. Crystal Goomansingh has more details on the progression of the war, as Russia also warned it will increase missile attacks on targets in and around the capital. Plans for Pope Francis' visit to Canada later this year have not been finalized, but Global News has learned sites in Quebec and Alberta are among those being considered. Heather Yourex-West reports on what is known about the trip and what residential school survivors are hoping for from the visit. Turning to the U.S., a new breath test to detect COVID-19 is getting the attention of doctors in Canada. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has authorized it for emergency use and some Canadian researchers say Health Canada should explore adopting the test here too. Ross Lord reports. Also in Canada, the Conservative Party leadership race is heating up and the rallies for candidate Pierre Poilievre are attracting huge crowds not always seen in party leadership races. Michigan State Police are trying to determine whether the officer acted in self-defence or whether, as Jennifer Johnson reports, he should face criminal charges. With weather warming up in Canada, runners are lacing up to prepare for marathon season. But for some still suffering from the effects of COVID-19, it may be more difficult. Alan Carter reports. It was 110 years ago the RMS Titanic sank into the Atlantic Ocean, considered by many to be the worst Maritime disaster in history. More than 1,500 people died after the ship hit an iceberg, causing it to sink. That voyage has inspired a number of films, extensive scientific research and its fair share of enthusiastic fans of the history. Dan Grummett spoke to an Edmonton man who has amassed a large collection of memorabilia and knowledge along the way.
