Cover crops are typically sowed in the fall but this year I tried something different.

We had some older seed that we tried planting in the fall but it never germinated so when spring time rolled around, we figured it’s better to fill the space than leave it bare!

Cover crops help fix nitrogen back into the soil and also prevent erosion. Next time you have an empty space in your garden and don’t know what to do with it, consider planting something like Crimson Clover!

We weren’t sure if it would bloom with the warmer temps, but it did and is looking great!
