But first, you'll need to drill through 4 km (2.5 mi) of thick ice just to get to this unworldly ecosystem. And its weight squeezes the water with 350 times the atmospheric pressure at sea level. What would happen if you dive into this freezing lake? How would your body react once you reach the water? What kind of special gear would you need? What kind of life would you encounter, if any?
