On April 11, 1983, President and Mrs. Reagan attended the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors. There, President Reagan spoke on the importance of remembering the atrocities of the Holocaust, and the value of engraving this memory in future generations so that the events can never repeat themselves.
