Repurposing these beautiful trees and giving them the honor they deserve!

As some of you know, we were hit by a microburst or a small tornado several weeks ago.

The storm destroyed a large number of trees in front of our home in addition to causing $5k of damage to my car and additional damage to the house.

We found ourselves being more upset about losing the trees than all the other damages.

We’ve spent several days sorting through tree tops to save as much as we can!

This is the first of many fun projects we have planned for this lumber and I Can’t wait to see what the final product looks like!

ABOUT US: We are Alex and Elaina, a couple in our 20s who are currently living on the 3-acre farm in southern Pennsylvania where Alex grew up. We have a garden, backyard chickens, and build or fix anything that we need to. We still work corporate day jobs, but are working to eventually leave the 9-5 lifestyle in favor of a self-built, debt-free, homestead on 6 acres nearby.
