4 By Four was a short lived R&B quartet who had a New Edition-like image. Its members were: Lance Heyward, Damen Heyward, Steve Gray and Jeraude 'Jay' Jackson. The group released one album in 1987, and the singles they released were 'Come Over' (written and produced by Melvin Riley of Ready For The World), 'Dont Put The Blame On Me', and 'Want You For My Girlfirend'.
