After receiving a tip off about sexual misconduct in cheerleading, Marisa Kwiatkowski and Tricia Nadolny from USA Today investigated the system of loopholes that allowed convicted sex offenders to be involved in cheerleading.

As part of their reporting, they discovered allegations against Jerry Harris, the star of the hugely popular Netflix’s ‘Cheer’ documentary series. They were put in touch with twin boys Charlie and Sam who accused Jerry Harris of soliciting nude photos, and with their permission they shared their story that would change the world of cheerleading forever.
