#philippines #travel #life Anne and I ran down the road from Angeles City to Bamban, a city about 20 minutes outside of town, we wanted to see Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes of Bamban. This park has 100+ step stairway that leads to a grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, people visit the place to pay homage to the Blessed Mother.
You can buy colored candles at the base of the stairway and light them once you reached the grotto, each color has a different meaning: love health good fortune hope spirit peace luck miracle etc. After that you can venture further up the hillside to the top where there is another 3 cross shrine and overlook with spectacular views of the countryside.
The climb is a tough one and will challenge most people but the views and sense of accomplishment are worth it.
