In this full-length interview, OG Maco breaks down the difference between being from Atlanta and being from the various neighborhoods that surround the capital city of Georgia, like East Point and Shady Park. During the discussion about his upbringing in College Park, the "U Guessed It" rapper also shares that he went to high school with Gunna and Playboi Carti's older brother, Reggie. He also shares that he began his career in music as the lead singer of a hardcore punk band before he evolved into a rapper but that he still has ties to the rock community.
As the course of the discussion continued, OG Maco talks about what prompted him to become a rapper, how the street life helped fund his music at the beginning of his career, working with rappers like Doja Cat and Lil Yachty. The 29-year-old rapper also talks about how a litany of felonies nearly derailed his career and the empathic judge that showed mercy on him and practically saved his life. Lastly, OG Maco talks about how he's been coping with the flesh-eating disease that has altered his appearance, his thoughts on the passing of Juice WRLD, and his friendship with G-Eazy.
