Haris Tarin is an Afghan-American Muslim leader. Tarin is the son of a former Afghan diplomat whose family fled their war-torn homeland when he was four year old. He is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department of Homeland Security. He has extensive background in public policy, civil rights, international affairs and advocacy. He has been published by the Washington Post, LA Times, CNN and has appeared dozens of times on domestic and foreign Media outlets.
