Jam from scratch with the new Roland synth… they say it isn’t a groovebox, and I agree it’s a really nice sound module, but I reckon it’s a pretty handy groovebox as well.

I previously posted a video with a techno jam from scratch, and this time I’ve gone for DnB inspired jam. This is from a empty/init patch, I’d just selected a kit and a tempo. All the patterns were empty and tonal presets set to init patches.

This this shows how easy it is to quickly throw together a beat; and how much fun it is to do so. Obviously there are a few mistakes as this is live/one take and I’m still very much learning the box, but hopefully shows people what an easy to use and fun box this is! (Oh I’m using the SP404mk2 as an interface to record this over usb and I couldn’t resist tweaking the effects a little at one stage but this is 99.9% solo sh-4d 100% of the sounds are from that)
