2002 I met Sha, Byron and Pee Wee for the first time in Detroit. They came thru for our Electronic Music festival (then called DEMF/ now called MOVEMENT) held every May. We as House dancers became fast friends. They later invited me to NYC to meet and hang with others there. I then met Ron, Tony McGregor, Shan S. This is us on Sha's roof exchanging and having fun. Also coming to a realization that House Dancing didn't START in New York. As evidence of me dancing similar and NEVER having met them before prior. This is the story that needs to be told. No one person or city OWNS House dancing. It's shared and expressed by many who loved it soon as it hit their local club air waves. The real focus needs to be how many stories are still missing from this culture. Those who truly love and respect it will further investigate and reveal. Let the truth be told.
