Color grading is HARD AF dude 😂 It surprised me when I first learned that a colorist was an entire job to itself. Like I knew it was a lot of effort, but it can’t be that hard right? Well, it turns out that yes… it’s pretty difficult. Anyone can take log footage and transform it to REC709, but to make the footage rich and moody takes a skilled artist. I’m not saying I am one; I know enough now to know the skill and effort that goes into it, and I’m continually blown away by the people that can crank out a nice grade. Every time I crack open the color tab, I learn a bit more and apply it a bit differently. Never stop learning 🤘🏼
