One of my main goals in turning 40 this year has been to get in the best physical shape of my live, in feb I ran my first 1/2 marathon. I’ve been doing icebaths most days and reached my personal best doing 20 consecutive chin-ups and although I’ve also recently completed a 120 mile bike ride, I think I’m most excited to see how far I can run. I’ve found myself watching ultra runners and wondering if I have it in me to take on insane challenges like this, i’ve decided my ultimate goal is to run 100 miles in a day. But before I get carried away I know the next milestone for me is to run a marathon. 26.2 miles. I’ve not found any official marathons near me happening anytime soon but decided maybe… I could just do mine own. I haven’t run much in the last couple months but decided it was still worth attempting, little did I know this was one of the hottest days of the year and would become my toughest challenge yet
