Please note: I am not against therapy and understand that therapy in its current form may be helpful to some people. I believe in therapy as it is ultimately an Indigenous practice, though its current form reflects a Western colonial worldview and this leads to great harm to BIPOC and our world.
It is my hope that we can begin to decolonize the practice so that the field can contribute to collective healing and liberation and truly serve the people in these times.
If you are a therapist seeking guidance to decolonize your practice, I invite you to sign up for the waitlist to join my program guiding therapists to do just that. May you answer the call.
