Past the whitewashed high-mountain villages around Tejeda, we arrive at the trailhead. Walking in the shade of the fragrant pine forests, I’m reminded of scenes back stateside in Flagstaff. I spot signs for the Camino de Santiago—I had no idea the path extended beyond the mainland. Wild.
After a mile of easy jogging, we reach our destination—Ventana del Nublo, a natural arch sculpted by millennia of wind and rain. Through it, the view is nothing short of breathtaking. Roque Nublo rises in the foreground, an ancient sentinel of the island, while in the distance, El Teide shimmers above the clouds, a stratovolcano on the horizon.
This felt like the perfect place to share some big news.
For the next three years, Norda will be our official footwear partner. Nick Martire, Willamina Martire, and the team there are core to the sport.
With their products, they prioritize durability over disposability and build with the unwavering belief that performance and sustainability can run together.
This past weekend, at the start line of Transgrancanaria, I laced up a pair of Norda 005s that have already seen over 300 miles—and still have plenty more left to give.
More to come...
