⚠ half-finished job, This video shows how to complete BGA component replacement when the previous engineer left the job unfinished.🔧 Maybe he was lazy or maybe he had no time, all we know is that the rabbit hole that he did not want to follow is not deep. the missing component is a PD controller that charges your device, after a small investigation we were able to find that the problem was caused by a component that is receiving power from the PD controller, we do not know if the the IC that was removed was faulty or not, but what we know is that the component that caused all this problem was found to have a direct connection between the 19v input line and the 3.3v output line.
⚡ The 3.3v output line of the component is not a power output, but a signal line directly linked to the EC chip, we can understand from this that 19v went were it was not supposed to go, thus destroying the EC chip as well.
🛠 This video is the Part one of three parts where we start by putting the missing component on its place before we go further down the rabbit hole to finish the work of the previous engineer.
