Internationally celebrated chef Ken Hom joins Showcase for an intimate conversation at London’s legendary Dorchester Hotel.

In this exclusive interview, he speaks with Rhiannon Jones about his journey from growing up in Chicago’s Chinatown to becoming the world’s most recognised face of Chinese cuisine. Ken reflects on how an early brush with trouble led him into the kitchen at age 11, and how what began as a necessity became his life’s passion.

He opens up about cooking for Tina Turner, Sir Alex Ferguson, and the Manchester United team, and what it was like bonding with Eric Cantona in French over dinner. Ken also discusses mentoring young chefs, his cancer charity work, and the possibility of a feature film based on his memoir Stir-Fried Life.

As a teacher, a pioneer, and an icon, Ken Hom’s legacy continues to shape kitchens and cultures around the world.
