Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc.'s (WSSI), a Davey company, Northern Virginia Stream Restoration Bank (NVSRB) is the site of some exciting research for using freshwater mussels – powerful water filters – to clean up urban waterways. NVSRB was the first dedicated stream restoration bank in Virginia and includes 11 miles of restored channels in the Reston Community in the DC suburbs.
