The if statement in JavaScript checks if something is true. If it is true, it runs a block of code. For example, if you want to see if a number is positive, you can use an if statement to run code only when the number is positive.

The else if statement in JavaScript is used when the first if condition is false. It lets you check another condition. For example, after checking if a number is positive, you can use else if to see if the number is negative or zero.

The else statement in JavaScript runs a block of code when all previous conditions (if and else if) are false. It’s like a backup plan, making sure some code runs if nothing else matches.

An else if ladder is a series of if and else if statements. It checks multiple conditions one by one in a specific order. If one condition is true, its block of code runs, and the rest are skipped. This is useful when you have several things to check, like different grades or categories.
