
The women's discus throw at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris took place on August 2 and 5.
Valarie Allman, the 2021 Olympic champion, took the lead in the second round with 68.74 m and extended this to 69.50 m in her fourth attempt, which secured her the gold medal. Feng Bin, who became world champion in 2022, reached 67.51 m and secured the silver medal thanks to a better second attempt. Sandra Perković, now under the name Elkasević, took bronze with the same distance. Vanessa Kamga and Marike Steinacker were able to move into the top group at times, but ultimately finished outside the medal ranks.
