This animation provides a detailed view of the PSV inlet region. At the start, the valve contains only gas (blue). As the simulation progresses, a sequence of closely spaced gas bubbles carried by the water phase enters the valve.This focused view highlights how the multiphase flow evolves as it interacts with the internal geometry of the PSV. It shows how localized mixing, rapid phase transitions, and sudden changes in momentum may contribute to unsteady loads on the valve body and its supports.
