What's up, guys! This time we make a really cool-looking Steampunk/Retrofuturistic Incandescent Flashlight that's also quite practical as a rechargeable battery-driven emergency torch for when you have power-outs or in survival situations.
This torch emits light for about 40-60 minutes on a full charge.
The charger I use is a 12V 1A DC adapter and takes anywhere from 2-4 hours to fully charge the flashlight.

Materials needed in order to make this project (With purchase links):
(x1) 12V 35W Automotive Halogen Light Bulb -


(x1) 12V 3-Cell BMS -
(x6) 18650 3.7V Battery -
(x1) SPST On/off rocker switch -
(x1) 12V 2A DC Adapter + a female DC barrel jack - ,
(x2) Crimp-on ring loop connectors
(x1) 19cm section of 2" PVC Pipe
(x1) 2" PVC coupling
(x1) Soda can
Electrical wires 24AWG -
Clear tape

Components needed for charging indicator circuit;
(x1) Transistor TL431A -
(x3) 220 Ohm resistors (in resistor kit) -
(x1) 5mm Green LED (kit) -
(x1) 5mm Red LED (in kit)
(x1) 10K Variable resistor (Potentiometer) -
(x1) 3x3cm blank PCB board (found in kit) -

Things I added/used to make it more "Steampunk" looking:
(x1) Spray Paint can (Matte silver)
(x3) 27 Turns of 0.31mm enameled copper wire per band -
(x1) Small spring
(x1) Old computer CPU cooler flat copper pipe
