Are you curious to know how to generate electricity using simple components? In this project, we’ll show you how to create a basic energy generation system using a 12V DC gear motor. This is a fun and educational project that will help you understand the fundamentals of energy conversion and mechanical power.
In this video, we are using a high-torque 12V DC gear motor, which is commonly used in robotics and mechanical applications. When the motor shaft is rotated by hand or using another motor, it generates electricity that can power small devices like LEDs or fans. This helps you understand how a motor can work as a generator.
This setup is very simple and made using easily available components. Here we used a 12V DC gear motor, and the motor shaft was rotated by hand to generate electricity. On the output side, two fans were directly connected, and as soon as the motor was rotated, both fans started spinning using the generated electricity. In this project, no multimeter was used, because the spinning fans clearly showed that electricity was being produced. You can also connect an LED light to make the energy generation more visible.
This experiment is perfect for school science projects, DIY enthusiasts, and beginners interested in renewable energy concepts. It helps students understand the principle of electromotive force (EMF) and how mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy.
