🗣️ Q&A with ChaRita 🗣️
⏳ How long have you been collecting and mixing for?
I started to buy records and learn to mix 17 years ago on my brother’s decks. I stopped for some time as I didn’t have my own decks, but I got my own around 6 years ago and then started DJing at house parties. In the past couple of years, I’ve been playing publicly.
💡 What sparked your interest in digging/collecting?
So many reasons... I've always liked sharing music I love with others and setting an atmosphere. I get a buzz from making people dance while staying true to myself by playing music I love and that represents me. I’ve always been intrigued by the skill of mixing and still want to learn to scratch.
🔍 Where do you find your music?
Listening on different streaming platforms and watching other DJ mixes on hör radio, Rinse FM, Boiler Room, DJ Kicks mixes, The Lot Radio, Worldwide FM.
🌟 Is there anyone that you take inspiration from? If so, who and why?
Anz, Bianca Oblivion, Bambii, and G33 because they are genre-fluid and blend sounds from around the globe.
