On 8 October 1987, Diana, Princess of Wales visited the Royal Ballet School in London. The Princess, who remained a keen dancer throughout her life despite her dreams of becoming a ballerina having been ended her height, evidently enjoyed watching students as they pliéd and pirouetted around the studio.
