We begin with troubling new signs of vaccine nationalism and potential problems with our vaccine supply. As an increasing number of countries grapple with the rise of new variants, country’s that produce COVID-19 vaccines are moving to limit exports. They want to ensure their own citizens get the vaccine first and that leaves Canada vulnerable. Abigail Bimman has more. With more demand for the vaccine than supply provinces are coming up with ways to stretch the doses. Quebec is now recommending that people who already had COVID-19 and recovered should only get a single dose. Mike Armstrong explains why. Ontario’s finance minister tabled a new budget today. Billions of dollars are being budgeted for health care and to stimulate the economy. Travis Dhanraj has what’s inside this budget and what’s been left out. There are new developments into sexual misconduct allegations in the Canadian Navy. Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan has requested a review after the navy shut down an internal investigation without speaking to all of the witnesses. At issue are alleged inappropriate jokes made on a Zoom video call. Mercedes Stephenson has more. A massive cargo ship turned sideways and stuck in the Suez Canal is causing a traffic jam of fully loaded oil tankers and container ships at both ends of the canal. All those ships can do now is sit and wait. As Redmond Shannon reports, it has caused a spike in oil prices An 11-year-old boy in the U.K. is giving everyone a lesson on generosity and selflessness. Max Woosey has been raising money for a hospice by sleeping in a tent for nearly a year. It started as a tribute to a friend and neighbour who died. Now, as Crystal Goomansingh reports, it has grown into something bigger than he expected.
