More than a month has passed since the full interim energy ceasefire, proposed by the US in Saudi Arabia, whereupon Ukraine accepted the terms unconditionally. Since then, Russia has only increased its attacks on Ukrainian civilians. In the months from March 11 till April 11, Russia launched almost 70 missiles of various types at Ukraine, over 2,000 attack drones, and more than 6,000 guided aerial bombs. The strikes took lives of 72 people including 11 children.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy came out with a statement denouncing the attacks and saying that these 35 days Putin is ignoring the American-proposed full interim ceasefire. The latest strikes on Sumy and Kryvyi Rih, on other Ukrainian cities just serve to prove that Russians not only are interested in prolonging the war but are pressuring the West rather than feeling the pressure on themselves.
