I had a project where I ran across a subfloor in rough shape and i needed to remove about 50 sq ft of subfloor and replace it with new 3/4” plywood. The challenge was I needed to cut the floor up to the wall surface to ensure I was able to remove all of the damaged areas and have a solid base for vinyl plank which I intended on installing in the room. Through a little searching online I ran across the Toe Kick Saw from Harbor Freight. For less than $100 dollars I was able to get the saw, an extra blade, and a 15 month warranty which is not too bad! In this video I give my a high-level overview of the saw, demo of my specific use case, and provide my impressions of the performance.

Warning - Always take care when using a saw such as a toe kick saw. Wear the proper personal protective equipment and never get your hands close to the cutting surface. This saw can easily kick out of the cut if you are not careful. So take your time and be safe!
