Country house scenes. Large house seen in L/S. Two Labrador dogs jump up at a woman who is cutting branches from a creeper.



Gerald Benney, silversmith works at home designing silverware. He designed the altar plate for Coventry Cathedral and fluted maces for five English universities. Narrator states that "As so much of his silverware is too costly for ordinary people to own, Gerald Benney has now turned his talent to designing cutlery in stainless steel as well as in silver". Works which the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths "has been proud to display".



Various shots of Gerald at work designing silverware then shots of his one of his creations being polished. Shots of silverware being made in Gerald's beautiful Regency house. A ladle is being made.



Nice shots of a posh dinner party where Gerald's cutlery is being used. Gerald, his wife and two friends eat together. Wine is served from a bowl using the ladle (odd!). Lamb, potatoes and tomatoes are being eaten. A silver pepper mill is passed across the table and a very strange looking centrepiece is seen in the centre of the table. A man in a suit admires some of Gerald's tableware. Gold glasses and sugar shaker. Ends with unusual top shot of two couples at the dinner party. Nice sequence to show a fairly posh 1960s dinner party.
