A couple however, decided to stop by. The man quickly caught the chance to asked the woman to read his ticket.
The man likely has limited reading abilities. The ticket said that he still had a few hours left to wait but he was so worried about missing the ride home that he didn't eat all day. He like many other workers often travelled from remote villages into big cities to find jobs. However, because of the long distance, they rarely return home. Many return home once per year.
The couple told him to wait and they quickly went to buy the man some food. As they ate the man revealed that he has been working in the city for 30 years but doesn't return home every year. He has a mother that is over 90 years old that he'd like to surprise.
Someone else had bought the ticket for him online as he didn't know how. The man was taking the fast bullet train that is a bit pricier and missing it would be very difficult. He's never taken it before hence why he was so worried about missing it.
He has a brother and his brother is married. He isn't. He said that he never made enough money to afford a wife and kids. But he doesn't seem to bothered by it.
The couple were very understanding. They even brought the man to his gate and told him how to walk the rest of the way. Before rushing to catch their own train.
This world would be a better place if all of us care a little more.
