The Monotribe is a great little groovebox, but sometimes a bit more power is needed, these mods address that. Please note I have no schematics for this but a small number of pre-built kits are available.First Midi in and out is added, the Monotribe VCA can be a little clicky, so this is taken care of, then the drum sounds have added switches to give variations on the stock sounds, when the switches are in the middle position stock sounds are still available.
The main enhancement is the additon of another oscillator which is fed from the Monotribe's own VCO, 3 ranges, 2 modes and potentiometers for level and frequency allow a wide array of harmonic and atonal variation, especially great for techno, acid and drone styles.
