"22" is the first song on my brand new album, Madness. A completely instrumental hard rock song from start to finish, with shredding and rhythmic/melodic guitar solos. Heavy riffs and smooth, distorted transitions."22" is a reference to the year 2022, when complete madness erupted around the world. The coronavirus pandemic had just ended, and then this terrible war broke out in Ukraine due to Russia's invasion. This madness is completely shaking up our world, and we face an uncertain future.
Musically, I drew inspiration from Mastodon in the fast passages, while the slower sections are inspired by Guns n Roses or the Foo Fighters... Of course, I tried to incorporate my own style.
The album, Madness, is a challenge, like every album. For a long time, I had doubts; for a long time, I wanted to make it much shorter. But then I decided to produce another 8-track album. As a music producer, you're always faced with the challenge of reinventing yourself, while also staying true to yourself. I think I've achieved that with my current album.
