We visited the AQUAEL facility in Suwałki, a Polish manufacturer renowned in the pet industry. For 40 years, AQUAEL has been producing technologically advanced equipment. The plant manufactures pumps, filters, and devices for pools and fountains.
The production process begins in the design department, where 3D models are created, and prototypes are tested for efficiency. Tools for production are then prepared using advanced equipment such as electrical discharge machines, milling machines, and measuring devices. Plastic components are produced in the injection molding department using robotic systems.
The production of the pump's core, the stator, involves assembling the coil, sheets, and electronics, followed by resin impregnation to ensure sealing. Electronic components, like control boards, are verified by collaborative robots. The finished pumps undergo testing for sealing, piston operation, and efficiency. Selected pumps go through additional quality control testing.
Modern filters can even be operated via mobile apps. AQUAEL is a leading European manufacturer, supplying pumps to numerous global brands. If you enjoyed this episode, check out how vinyl records are made!
