After surviving the 'volanic' terrain of Stage 1, the Australian contingent of the Dakar Rally headed towards Al Diwadimi in the geographical heart of Saudi Arabia, where they battled the dunes and the dust.

It was a mixed bag of results for Toby Price Racing, Daniel Sanders and On The Brink Motorsport, but all three survived Stage 2.
