Then, he digs precise trenches to hold the support blocks firmly in the ground. After that, he cuts each beam to size and begins burning the wood, a traditional method to protect it from decay. Once charred, he scrapes off the extra layer of charcoal, finishes the rest, and fits every beam perfectly into place. The result? A solid, weather-resistant foundation that’s made to endure.
