The Golden Apple, also called bael or bili, (like our tour guide did) or bhel. Others called it Bengal quince, Japanese bitter orange, stone apple or wood apple. Marmelos, it's the Portuguese name for Quince, and probably that was given by Portuguese Sailors in the Modern Age.
We got the chance to try it, and it was something like a mix of passion fruit and quince.
