Negombo is a fishing and touristic village half an hour North away from Colombo, Sri Lanka. Every day, hundreds of small fishing boats cast their nets near the coast, while others search for prawns and crabs in its lagoon. While much of the fish is sold more or less fresh, on the fish market, many tons are dried at the beach, on the other side of the river.We were privileged to visit them in two consecutive days and even found (or, better said, were found by) an improvised local guide. Donald, "like Donald Trump", walked us along the beach, where people were gutting and laying the fish to dry.
