Regency MR-10 tube amp conversion project. A cool tube amp that is designed for the Russian 6N3C (63PS) but will also run a 6V6GT with no bias adjustments necessary. The octal base pin configuration is the same for these tubes. With the standard 470 ohm cathode resistor, the amp will settle at the proper current. This is the same configuration as a Fender Champ. Therefore you could install a 6N3C and get a bit more punch out of your Champ. For the power supply, I used the Hammond 269EX transformer. It can deliver 70ma of current. High voltage is hovering around 250vdc. There is a 4H choke delivering screen & preamp DC. I plan to house the amp in a Regency Police radio cab from the 1960's. This amp is listed on Reverb.com for sale. I can provide more info. d-labelectronics.com or see:
