
Featured is Rickey Vincent, an author, radio show host, educator, and funk music’s best-known historian and advocate. His beloved book, titled “Funk: The Music, the People and the Rhythm of the One,” dropped in 1996, and since 1997 he has shared new and classic songs through the “History of Funk” radio show on KPFA, which airs Friday nights at 10 p.m. Pacific Time. Here he talks about the impact Kool and the Gang's Light of Worlds had on him.
