One of my friends that I met at NAMM told me about this amazing sound he got from putting an original sm57 transformer into a Pyle PDMIC 78, and he said he liked it even better than his 421. Now this I had to try. I love the 421 on toms and guitar, but if the Pyle was anywhere close to the 421 it would be worth the time to mod them.
