Irish Greyhound Racing – one of Ireland’s oldest pastimes. For just under 100 years, going to the dogs has been considered a traditional pastime by many Irish families. Greyhound racing, or dog racing as it is often generically referred to, is one of the oldest 'sports' there is.  Racing itself goes back to 19th Century and Greyhounds were used long before this for coursing and hunting.
