Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
She got a walk that could stop the rain,
Sweet little devil, driving me insane,
Every time she talks, it’s a loaded gun,
And I’m tasting trouble like honey on my tongue.
(Pre-Chorus)
She’s a wildfire, can’t be tamed,
And I’m just a moth, drawn to her flame.
(Chorus)
She’s a wicked little woman, got me on the run,
Burnin’ me down with the heat of the sun,
Oh, I’m caught in her web, can’t break free,
But honey on my tongue’s where I wanna be.
(Verse 2)
She’s got a mind like a razor’s edge,
Dancin’ on danger, hangin' by the ledge,
With a touch that’ll leave you scarred and stunned,
But I’m drownin’ in her like honey on my tongue.
(Pre-Chorus)
She’s a storm rolling in, fierce and wild,
But I’m hooked on her game, can’t help but smile.
(Chorus)
She’s a wicked little woman, got me on the run,
Burnin’ me down with the heat of the sun,
Oh, I’m caught in her web, can’t break free,
But honey on my tongue’s where I wanna be.
(Bridge)
She’s got a twist in her kiss that I can’t refuse,
Every time I taste her, I know I’ll lose,
But there’s a thrill in the danger, yeah, I know it’s wrong,
Still, I’m chasing that sweet honey all night long.
(Chorus)
She’s a wicked little woman, got me on the run,
Burnin’ me down with the heat of the sun,
Oh, I’m caught in her web, can’t break free,
But honey on my tongue’s where I wanna be.
(Outro)
Honey on my tongue, sweet and wild,
Yeah, she’s got me good, but I love her style,
I know she’s trouble, but I can’t get enough,
'Cause honey on my tongue’s that dangerous stuff.
Cyna Hadum, named for Cerberus of Greek mythology, was an intense and fast paced act to explode out of the wake of the US involvement in the Vietnam War in 1973. Following Tim Watts (Johnny Savage) draft and return from his tour in Vietnam, and the resulting break up of Johnny Savage in 1972, Watts joined Frankie Brannigan and Mitch Conway, two talented British musicians who were craving a heavier and grittier sound to their rock. Cyna Hadum's debut album "American Argos" references the encroaching and watchful eyes of the American government post-Vietnam, its namesake being the many eyed monster of Greek mythology. Watts was believed to be resentful towards the US government upon returning home, particularly politicians, and quickly left the States to begin pushing boundaries with his new bandmates across Europe, before returning home again to record.
