ok, you could argue this is essentially an original song that happens to sample "Piano Modal", originally on the "Breaking and Entering" soundtrack... but hey, the exact same charge could be leveled at hundreds of remixes out there - for instance, Switch's remix of "Boy, Boy, Boy" and Pig & Dan's 3 versions of "Play Pig".
i really dug this little tune, and there's always something satisfying about a reflective piano/keyboard part when paired with an 90s-style hip-hop beat (with massive shout-outs to J Dilla & Nujabes - may they rest in peace)... so that's exactly what i did. or rather, tried to do xD
