Here’s a look inside the minds of some amazing creators! Please use #stylophone to share your sounds and maybe we’ll see YOU in next months Stylophone Round Up!

“The 2 SQ1 sequencers are clocked together so I can have 2 pitches going to the two different oscillators on the DS-2 playing in sync. The top SQ-1 is resetting the DS-2's LFO, but the bottom one is set to a different number of steps which makes for some interesting polymeters.”

“My creative process is all about modulation. I usually generate a sound or set of sounds, then using different modulation sources, make those sounds more organic as they evolve over time. I also add new sounds, often pad/string sounds to compliment the drone soundscape.”

"I wanted to show off the wide range of capabilities I’ve been finding my new Stylophone Theremin useful for, so I thought I’d put together a track that used the Theremin for most (if not all) of the synth sounds—the rich and sub-heavy bass (which I wanted to sound organic, almost living and morphing), the chirpy highs (wanted to sound abrasive, edgy), and every funky little tone in-between. To get some extra unpredictability, I used a modular plugin to generate some random noise in key parts and for the little solo, and for that extra engine-breaking-down-distortion, recorded many of the Stylophone Theremin tracks through a Third Man Plasma Coil pedal, and tied the whole package together with some Hackers (1993) samples."

"There is no creation without experimentation. Beats and sounds from other planets connect me with this wonderful Stylophone Theremin. There are no limits."
