This was the type of set I would play at live electronic shows around 2007. The patterns were set up beforehand, but I did a lot of improvised changes and all the vocals live. (Without Auto Tune at this time!)After beginning with computers, I started using hardware drum machines for performing my music in the early 2000's. The Electribe ESX-1 is still possibly my favorite machine to play, though I now have many others to use for wider sonic and sequencing options. I often connected my headset microphone (this Shure, or a Crown) directly to the ESX to use it's Delay and other effects. (I also used this Kaoss Pad 3 a lot, though it's effects are not activated in this recording.)
