Bob Humphrys profiles the Olivier Award-winning Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins, who has returned to live and work in Britain following a period in the United States.

Hopkins has been gaining rave reviews for his portrayal of ruthless media mogul Lambert Le Roux in Pravda at the National Theatre. He is currently filming alongside Joanne Whalley in Mike Newell's The Good Father.

Humphreys accompanies Hopkins to his childhood home, where he reminisces on his idyllic, but lonely childhood, considers his faith, and recounts his meetings, as a young actor, with acting heavyweights Richard Burton and Laurence Olivier.

Clip taken from Week In Week Out originally broadcast on BBC One Wales, 11 February, 1986.
