How many of you know what this circle means?
Well, more than 50% of the people on Earth live inside this circle in Southeast Asia.
With its center located in Myanmar and a radius of just 3300 kilometers, it includes countries like India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and a large part of China and Indonesia.
All of these countries total around 4.043 billion people. This circle, also called the Valerie Pieris circle, represents only 6.7% of the total Earth area, yet more people live inside it than outside of it.
The reason why this area is so densely populated is because it has a lot of fertile soil suitable for farming. This, combined with the warm climate, created ideal conditions for population growth.
